Hello necros I just joined guru a minute ago and I wanted to ask you guys something. I heard that as a primary necro isn't that good in pvp. I was just seeing if you guys could agree or disagree with this, because I've seen vids of necro summon lots of monsters and mobbed a guy to death... and it was pretty

.

Anyways... if you guys could give me a guide for necro as second if this is true, i'd really appreciate it. If you guys say that this ain't true, then im just going to go n/mo and heal my monsters... heh heh...

i use Necro/Monk MM in AB
and a Necro/mesmer SS in AB
both work very well i have found - im not too sure about how well necros do in RA and TA and gvg and HA/HoH but i've heard there are some good builds for gvg and ha/hoh out there if your with the proper party.

Monk is good second for MM because u can use heal area and healing breeze if you have to.
Mesmer is good second for SS because of - hmmm whats it called - bah i forgot but its an unlicked spell that when u use it the next spell u use is taken up in that spot for 20 seconds or so.
So u use it then u use SS then u spam SS around in a large group of enemies - works very well on minions

SS is spitful spirit - its an elite necro skill
MM is Minion Master - a necro that exploits corpses to makes minions
AB - Alliance battles - 12v12 pvp in factions
RA - Random Arena - random 4v4 pvp battles
TA - Team Arena - 4v4 team pvp battles
HA - Heros Acent - 8v8 pvp battles to fight for your part of the world (america, uk, korea ect)
HoH - Hall of Heros - 8v8 pvp last stage of HA, if you win in HoH the gods will favor your part of the world (opening up some really nice farming areas ect)
ohhh and u didnt ask about this one but:
GVG - guild vs guild - 8v8 pvp - 1 guild agaisnt another guild.

AB is not PvP.

Necro is a strong (sometimes too strong) primary in any area, just play it properly for God's sake.

AB is technically PvP, but the general populace there is equivalent to playing PvE.

Necromancers are usable. They do have decent hexes still, right...?

please play pve for awhile though as you are obivously new to the game(asked what mm was). new people + PvP = everyone unhappy

Personally I'm quite sick of playing mm. In PvE I usually go Curse with a N/Me and since SS Necros are so popular in PvE I suggest you give that a go.
